Children of the Mediterranean – 1st season

“Children of the Mediterranean” is a documentary series on the life of Mediterranean people in six episodes. The first season was filmed in Croatia, Italy, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Slovenia.

“Children of Mediterranean“is a series that promotes the Mediterranean and its values, culture, way of life, and heritage.

For numerous reasons, the Mediterranean area is today the most favourable part of Europe and of the world to live, visit and spend time, rich in incredible cultural heritage, interesting mix of different cultures, and an area of good climate which is not only pleasant for everyday life but favourable for agriculture of any kind. Largely spread tourism activities co-exist with traditional Mediterranean jobs, such as shipbuilding and fishing, crafts, and agriculture. However, many Mediterranean countries nowadays face different challenges, such as economic problems, insufficient diversification of industries and activities, strong orientation to tourism and services, but they also face political, social, and economic issues, as the consequences of immigration and war conflicts in the south Mediterranean area and the Middle East.
